Our philosophy of education is grounded in the belief that all knowledge and learning must begin with and be directed toward God, who is the source of all truth, goodness, and beauty. As Scripture commands, we seek to love the Lord with all our heart, soul, and mind (Matthew 22:37), teaching future generations to do the same with diligence and purpose (Deuteronomy 6:7). Education is not merely a means to an end but a pursuit worthy of humanity as image-bearers of God, reflecting His creativity, order, and rationality.
Rooted in the classical tradition, we embrace the Liberal Arts as a proven framework for equipping students with the tools of learning through the trivium—the art of words—and the quadrivium—the art of numbers. This approach fosters discernment, cultivates virtue, and prepares students to seek understanding in all areas of life. Our goal is to educate the whole child—mind, body, and spirit—in partnership with families, so that each student develops wisdom, virtue, and the capacity to glorify God and serve others in any vocation. Education, for us, is a generational stewardship, standing on the wisdom of those who came before us while preparing students to advance God’s kingdom for generations to come.

At King’s Classical, we are committed to a Classical Christian education rooted in the historic liberal arts tradition. Central to this tradition is the Trivium—Grammar, Logic, and Rhetoric—the foundational arts of words that train the mind for the pursuit of wisdom, virtue, and as the beginning and end, the knowledge of God. As the first three of the seven liberal arts, the Trivium cultivates in students the ability to understand, discern, and express truth. Grammar, the art of understanding words, builds knowledge through language mastery. Logic, the art of reasoning with words, refines the mind’s ability to think critically, distinguish truth from falsehood, and order thoughts rightly. Rhetoric, the art of expressing words beautifully and persuasively, perfects knowledge by teaching students to articulate truth with wisdom, clarity, integrity, and grace.
The Trivium is not an isolated model but the foundation of the full liberal arts tradition. This education is an education in freedom, liberating the soul from ignorance and gullibility and equipping students with the intellectual and moral virtues needed for lifelong learning and faithful discipleship. As Augustine taught, “For a happy life is joy in the truth. For this is joy in Thee, who art The Truth,” (City of God, X.23). Through the Trivium, we prepare students to love and proclaim the truth, all of which is established by and consists in the Word Incarnate, Jesus Christ (Col. 1:17). By integrating deep reading, careful reasoning, and eloquent expression, the Trivium fosters not only academic excellence but also the formation of character and Christian witness.
Our vision at King’s Classical is to cultivate students who love what is true, good, and beautiful, who think with clarity, and who communicate with conviction. We affirm that the Trivium is not merely a method but a means of discipleship, forming young minds in the pursuit of wisdom, training them to engage society with discernment, and preparing them to bear witness to Christ in all areas of life. In an age of distraction and relativism, we seek to recover the time-tested tradition of the liberal arts, grounding education in its true purpose: to know God, to love His truth, and to glorify Him through the mastery of words, thought, and speech.

At King’s Classical, we uphold the Classical Christian vision of education, which cultivates wisdom, virtue, and a deeper understanding of God’s created order. The Quadrivium—arithmetic, geometry, music, and astronomy—summarized as the art of numbers, forming the second half of the seven liberal arts, serves as a bridge between language and philosophy, matter and spirit, the seen and the unseen. The Quadrivium trains the mind in harmony, proportion, and the structure of reality. These disciplines understand the practical sciences as pathways to perceiving the deeper order of the cosmos, revealing God’s wisdom, beauty, and divine rationality in creation.
The four disciplines of the Quadrivium each explore numbers in different ways: Arithmetic is the study of number itself, revealing the objective truths of mathematics; Geometry applies number to space, shaping our understanding of form and proportion; Music applies number to time, teaching us the harmony and order that underlie both sound and creation; and Astronomy applies number to motion, drawing our eyes upward to the heavens and inviting us to consider the majesty of God’s handiwork (Psalm 19:1). Through these arts, students cultivate a sense of wonder and precision, learning not only the laws of nature but also how all things reflect the wisdom of the Creator. A proper study of the Quadrivium reveals that mathematics is not cold calculation but a reflection of divine harmony, inviting us to see reality as God has ordered it.
We affirm that truth, goodness, and beauty are objective realities, woven into the fabric of creation. The Quadrivium equips students not merely with technical skills but with a vision of the universe as a harmonious and ordered whole, governed by divine reason. As Boethius writes, it is “the quadrivium by which we bring a superior mind from the knowledge offered by the senses to the more certain things of the intellect" (De Institutione Arithmetica 1.1). By studying the art of numbers, students grow in intellectual clarity, aesthetic appreciation, and spiritual insight, preparing them for higher learning in philosophy and theology and for lives of faithful stewardship and creativity. In recovering the historic liberal arts, we seek to restore a vision of education that trains the mind, orders the soul, and leads the heart toward God, the source of all wisdom, reason, and proportion.

At King's Classical Academy, we emphasize the study of humanities as a means of exploring the image-bearers of God throughout history and literature. The humanities are the study of people—their hearts, thoughts, actions, and purposeful intentions—and how they interact with one another. By examining individuals and groups across time, students seek to understand human intention while recognizing God’s sovereignty interwoven through every moment. This perspective invites students to discern the complexities of humanity while grounding their understanding in the truth of Scripture, which is integrated into every aspect of study.

By developing mathematical skill, students develop fluency in the language of numbers, building skills that enable them to think critically and logically. This intentional focus on numerical understanding allows students to see math not merely as an academic subject but as a universal language that reflects the order and design of God’s creation.

The study of science deepens students’ understanding of God’s design and, ultimately, of God Himself by developing the skills of careful observation and valid inductive reasoning. Through hands-on experiments and observation of nature, students are inspired with a holy curiosity for the world around them. Foundational scientific skills—such as forming hypotheses, making observations, and drawing conclusions—are cultivated with the understanding that all truth is God’s truth. By approaching science with anticipation and reverence, students uncover the divine order in creation, enriching their knowledge of both the physical world and the Creator who sustains it.

At King's Classical, we diligently teach the Word of God, ensuring it permeates every part of school life—whether in classrooms, hallways, or daily interactions. Students are equipped to be Biblically fluent, learning to take every thought captive to the Word of God and rightly divide the truth. We desire for students to see their lives as part of God’s grand narrative, understanding Scripture as God-breathed, inerrant, and central to all learning.
We will incorporate the historical creeds, confessions, and catechisms of the church as foundational resources in theological instruction throughout the school.

By examining the past through original sources (when age appropriate), students are challenged to discern how to live faithfully in the present. History demonstrates humanity’s need for a Savior and testifies to God’s faithfulness to redeem and transform those who trust in His promises. Through this lens, students gain a deeper understanding of the intersection of human choices and divine sovereignty. God is the author of history (Isaiah 46:10) and the Bible is the only source of infallible history.

We believe in whole child learning, which nurtures the body, mind, and spirit. The education of the child is not limited to academic instruction, but also includes their physical education. Formal physical education will educate our students in both the primary sports of our culture and fitness. In addition, our campus will promote free play during recess and intentional gross motor skill exercises will be integrated into the classroom. We aim for students to develop curiosity and confidence in their physical abilities, opening up a wide variety of physical and social opportunities as they progress toward adulthood. We learn to control and condition our bodies, not just for ourselves, but to be able to bless and defend our community and civilization. Ultimately, we aim to equip students to honor God with their bodies and minds.
